Jiri Krecek, MD
After graduating from Masaryk University medical school in the Czech Republic and getting my doctorate I left my old country for the United States. I initially spent a few years working at a hospital in a supervisory position in facilities management and eventually decided on a career change to banking.

I joined J.P. Morgan in 2007, just as the financial crisis unfolded. Over 18 years, I became the go‑to fixer—moving across treasury operations, credit card, payments, and investment banking units to solve problems, lead projects, and stabilize operations. Along the way I learned analytics, forecasting, SQL, Oracle and Pega web apps, Alteryx; risk and control management; privacy incident investigations, and even how to program a 40‑foot Olympus mail sorter.
With well over a dozen managers across my nearly two decades at J.P. Morgan, my career was shaped by constant shifts than by choice, always exploring something new, learning how to be methodical, goal-focused, non-confrontational, and resourceful. As a VP alumnus of J.P. Morgan, I carry forward not nostalgia for the corporation, but respect for its people — and a lasting curiosity and drive to keep learning.
I keep my personal life private, but creativity has always been my outlet. Photography is my passion — I also shoot on film, develop the negatives at home, and even explore infrared to capture what the eye can’t see. Music and sound design remain central too, from years of piano playing to today’s explorations in ambient synthesis, field recording, and Eurorack modular systems.
I’ve channeled that same creative drive into building out a cargo trailer into the office of my business, teaching myself furniture making, welding, and the fundamentals of RV design along the way, to make my business office fully self-sufficient. For me, art is proof that creative expression is innate — most of us just forget how to access it.
